Aircraft Electrical Mechanic I

Position Overview

We are looking for an Aircraft Electrical Mechanic I to assist with electrical modifications, installations, and troubleshooting on aircraft systems. This entry-level role offers hands-on experience in a dynamic environment with opportunities for growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with on- and off-aircraft electrical modifications to wiring and system components
• Perform basic connector terminations including shielded wires, coaxial cables, and fiber optic wiring
• Route and handle wire harnesses per engineering instructions
• Seal, wrap, bond, tie, and close wire harnesses and cables
• Read and interpret basic engineering drawings and technical orders
• Support assembly, installation, inspection, and operational checks of electrical systems
• Assist with troubleshooting electrical and environmental systems
• Ensure compliance with safety procedures, Hazardous Energy, and Lock Out/Tag systems
• Maintain certifications and adhere to SA Tool and FOD procedures

Basic Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• 1+ years of experience in electrical/electronic theories and systems
• Ability to work variable shifts, weekends, and overtime
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance
• Familiarity with hazardous materials handling and safety protocols

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Depot Level/Modification maintenance
• Ability to operate forklifts, mobile cranes, and elevating equipment

Physical Requirements

• Lift up to 35 lbs; occasional two-person lift for heavier loads
• Frequent standing, walking, climbing ladders, and working on elevated platforms
• Ability to work in confined spaces and noisy environments
• Pass visual acuity and color perception tests
