We are currently looking for Electronic Technicians to join our team in Largo, FL.
1st Shift Schedule:
What You Will Do
Perform the electrical tests and troubleshooting on subassemblies, assemblies, and systems for conformance to specifications. Personnel in this category are characterized by the necessity to understand and apply the theory of operation of the unit under test to enable the determination of faulty product for design, workmanship, environmental and component defects.
Must read, understand and accurately follow prints, schematics, sketches, work from test procedures, and verbal or written instructions.
Operate environmental test chambers located in dedicated program areas as required to assure workmanship and product performance as required. When required, must develop test data to resolve performance problems in connection with the product under test.
May be required to perform soldering and/or mechanical assembly, as many electronic tests are performed with incomplete circuits.
Must prepare test reports as required. Rejects assemblies that fail to conform with test specification; indicate on proper document the phase of the test that the assembly failed and indicate what alterations are needed to eliminate defect. May be required to perform simple mathematics, such as to determine power consumption, gain efficiency, signal noise ratio, etc.
Proper performance of duties requires use of considerable judgment. May be required to move material as directed.
Determine acceptability, locates and records discrepancies on various types of subassemblies; standard, microelectronic and/or hi-rel; using direct reading instruments, gauges, meters, measuring devices such as continuity meters, specialized mechanical or optical measuring or testing devices and/or stereo microscopes. Collects data, prepares/ maintains records, using either written or electronic media, as required and/or directed by supervision.
Will also be involved in storing, handling, use and disposal of hazardous waste chemicals such as acids, caustics, flammables, poisons, and oxidizers in accordance with federal, state and local environmental protections laws.
Employees will be retrained annually to comply with applicable state and federal regulations. This is in accordance with the codes of Federal Regulations Title 40, Section 265.16.
Employees may be required to obtain the appropriate government security clearance.
Must be able to lift up to 28 LBS
Qualifications You Must Have:
Typically requires HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g. G.E.D.)
Qualifications for this position require a minimum of at least one of the below requirements:
Successfully complete a pre-qualification test or exam.
Electronic Technology Certificate, by an accredited institution as defined by the company.
AA/AS degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or Electronics Technology or related field, as defined by the company.
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, Computer Hardware Engineering, or related field, as defined by the company.
Military electronics technical school certification, as defined by the company.
4 years of documented professional or military experience in troubleshooting electronic equipment within the last 12 years, as defined by the company.
