Contract Position
Pay Estimated: $65.73-$70.73/Hour
This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors, (geographical location, etc.)
Contribute to a company at the forefront of mission-critical systems and technologies in defense and security. This leader in global defense integrates advanced technology to deliver information and insights on the battlefield, offering roles that support security and technological superiority across multiple domains.
Responsibilities:
Lead the design, integration, testing, and sustainment of advanced RF communication systems supporting global warfighter operations.
Develop and document system architectures, behavioral models, and interface definitions.
Define, analyze, and verify system requirements and test plans.
Design and integrate radio frequency (RF) telecommunication systems compliant with industry standards and safety regulations.
Apply SATCOM principles, link budget analysis, and propagation models to optimize system performance.
Perform system testing and troubleshooting using RF test equipment.
Contribute to integrated telemetry, tracking, and commanding (TT&C) hardware/software development.
Use engineering tools and techniques to evaluate, refine, and ensure high system performance.
Support enhancements, lifecycle upgrades, and replacement of end-of-life components in active fielded systems.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering or related field (Science, Engineering, Mathematics).
U.S. Citizenship required by federal law.
Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance.
5+ years of job-related experience (or Master’s degree + 3 years).
Experience in RF systems design, integration, and test.
Knowledge of SATCOM systems, TT&C, and RF communication protocols.
Skilled in applying technical standards, solving system-level challenges, and performing link budget calculations.
Proficiency in using RF test equipment (e.g., spectrum analyzers, network analyzers).
Familiarity with system engineering processes, including requirements definition, integration, and validation.
Agile methodology experience preferred.
