STS Technical Services is hiring an experienced Aeronautical Engineer to join our team in Mexico City, Mexico. This role is ideal for a bilingual engineering professional with extensive aerospace experience, particularly with FAR 121 operators. Position Overview:
The Aeronautical Engineer will design, specify, and develop technical specifications for the configuration, repair, operation, and maintenance of aircraft, engines, components, and associated systems. The goal is to improve safety, reliability, and cost-effectiveness while ensuring compliance with federal aviation regulations and manufacturers’ published data.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop technical specifications for aircraft systems, components, and maintenance procedures
- Support configuration management, repair assessments, and system reliability improvements
- Analyze manufacturer data and apply federal aviation regulations (FARs) to ensure airworthiness
- Collaborate with maintenance and operations teams to enhance aircraft performance and reduce operational costs
- Provide engineering support for troubleshooting and repair activities
- Ensure technical documentation aligns with regulatory and company standards
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Aeronautical, or Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited college or university
- Minimum of 5 years of aerospace engineering experience, preferably with a FAR 121 operator
- Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish
- Strong understanding of FAA regulations, OEM manuals, and aircraft performance criteria
- Proficient in technical writing and engineering documentation
- Must be available to work a minimum of 40 hours per week (Monday through Friday)
- Flexibility to work after-hours and weekends as needed
