As part of the Engineering team for the Griffon Life Limited Extension (GLLE), the project specialist is responsible for technical projects from conception to completion and is accountable to meet the objectives set by the customer.

As part of the Engineering team for the Griffon Life Limited Extension (GLLE), the project specialist is responsible for technical projects from conception to completion and is accountable to meet the objectives set by the customer.
- Plan, organize, and manage the engineering schedule to support the GLLE program goals and objectives.
- Coordinate engineering development efforts to meet the certification schedule.
- Collaborate with multiple departments (engineering – all disciplines, experimental, engineering, manufacturing, procurement, finance, IT, technical publications, customer support, integrated operations, quality)
- Create and update project plan (using planning tools, phased/gated approach), determine required deliverables, assign resources, and estimate tasks.
- Monitor project progress and report project performance status to the team manager.
Minimum required qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, or equivalent related field.
- A minimum of three (3) years of experience in relevant aerospace and Project management field, preferably in new program development and industrialization.
- Prior experience with Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF) fleet management is an asset.
- Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills, leadership skills, communication skills (verbal and in writing) and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of aircraft certification and regulations especially in Department of National Defense (DND) TAA certification rules is an asset.
- Project management certification is an asset.
- Knowledge of the Bell NP&SI process is desirable.
- Functional knowledge of the Windows Office.
- Functional knowledge Primavera P6, Enovia, SAP et MS Project is an asset
- Excellent communication skills (both oral and written) in French.
- Excellent communication skills in English, as this position requires communication in English with Bell teams outside Quebec and/or its suppliers, partners, and clients outside Quebec.
Any other combination of schooling and experience deemed equivalent may be considered.
SECURITY CLEARANCE
This offer within the Canadian Government Programs Department is conditional on obtaining and maintaining the NATO security level required for the position.
