Purpose of Position
The Manager, Cybersecurity Engineering is a hands-on technical leader responsible for managing a multidisciplinary team of engineers supporting both cybersecurity and software engineering initiatives. This leader will oversee the design, development, and implementation of secure, scalable, and resilient technology solutions-with direct ownership of Identity and Access Management (IAM) functions.
Sitting at the intersection of cybersecurity engineering and software development, this role ensures alignment between secure architecture, DevOps, and automation strategies to strengthen NetJets enterprise security posture and operational excellence. The position collaborates cross-functionally with IT, Architecture, Cloud Operations, and Business Technology teams to deliver secure-by-design solutions that protect data, applications, and infrastructure across hybrid environments.

Tasks and Responsibilities
  • Lead and mentor a team of cybersecurity engineers, fostering technical excellence, collaboration, and professional growth.
  • Oversee Identity and Access Management (IAM) strategy, governance, and engineering execution, ensuring secure authentication and authorization processes across enterprise systems.
  • Understanding of role-based security models and Identity Access Management (IAM) platforms.
  • Strong understanding of Active Directory and other access management applications.
  • Manage IAM platforms and tools (e.g., Okta, SailPoint) and ensure integration with development and automation frameworks.
  • Understanding of application and DevOps practices
  • Drive automation in the IAM environments to enhance performance, resiliency, and incident response.
  • Collaborate with enterprise architects and technology leaders to ensure consistent alignment between security engineering and broader cyber and IT strategies.
  • Support incident response efforts, providing technical analysis, remediation leadership, and post-incident review.
  • Maintain and continuously improve IAM engineering playbooks, documentation, and standards for both cybersecurity and software delivery.
  • Stay current on emerging technologies, cloud architectures, and security frameworks, bringing forward innovative solutions to evolving challenges.
  • Communicate effectively with senior leadership and stakeholders, providing visibility into risks, project progress, and strategic initiatives.

  • Proven experience with modern development and security technologies (e.g., AWS/Azure, CI/CD pipelines, SIEM, EDR, DLP, IAM).
  • Strong understanding of secure software development lifecycle (SDLC), DevSecOps principles, and infrastructure-as-code practices.
  • Experience with security frameworks and compliance standards such as PCI DSS, HIPAA, SOX, and NIST.
  • Relevant certifications preferred (e.g., CISSP, CISM, Security+, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer, Okta, SailPoint).
