Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Ensure all powerplant overhaul processes adhere to safety standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies. Promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
  • Lead the development, validation, and implementation of overhaul processes for powerplant systems, ensuring high-quality standards and compliance with engineering specifications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to powerplant systems, equipment, and materials.
  • Drive lean initiatives to improve overhaul efficiency, reduce cycle times, and enhance delivery performance.
  • Develop and maintain overhaul documentation, including work instructions, standard work, and technical manuals for powerplant systems.
  • Mentor and train powerplant engineers and technicians, fostering technical expertise and professional growth.
  • Interface with customers to address technical inquiries, provide overhaul status updates, and ensure satisfaction with overhaul outcomes.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement using lean methodologies.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in engineering (mechanical, aerospace, or related field) or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in powerplant engineering or overhaul shop operations.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in engineering leadership role.
  • Experience with lean methodologies.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements such as FAA/EASA standards.
  • Proficiency in overhaul documentation and technical writing.
