Come join our team where we are currently searching for a Senior Project Engineer to support the Mechanical Enablement Solutions team with integration and sustainment activities across all Collins SBU’s.
This Senior Project Engineering professional will need deep knowledge and highly developed technical expertise. The individual will develop project plans and budgets, perform critical analysis, pursue all cost saving opportunities to maximize project profitability, and monitors project performance. Identifies and reacts to project problems and recommends solutions. You will direct all phases of the Mechanical Enablement Team projects from inception through completion.
** This individual can sit at any Collins domestic location or remote. **
What YOU will do:
Manages overall project requirements, reliability, logistics, coordination of different teams, evaluation measurements, and other disciplines for complex projects.
Monitors budgets, cost, effectiveness, and reliability of activities and makes recommendations to optimize resources, prioritize spending, and ensure that standards are met.
Manages work-processes, optimization methods, and risk management tools for complex projects.
Works with tool smiths, architects and infrastructure specialists to decomposition customer specifications and system level requirements into sub-system and tool level requirements, and work with the team to capture verification criteria and plans for the requirements.
Assists with analysis at all levels of the total design ecosystem including concept, design, test, installation, operation and maintenance.
Performs technical execution planning for system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems.
Ensures the logical and systematic project planning of the complete system solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints.
Represents Mechanical Enablement Team as the primary customer contact for projects.
Provide support to the Mechanical Enablement Team across many sites in US and other Collins teams abroad
Directs the work of employees assigned on projects
Provide regular project updates to senior leadership on major projects
Identifies and addresses project problems and recommends resolutions to ensure the successful completion of projects.
Facilitates project tasks with the various functional organizations to ensure alignment with overall project objectives.
Qualifications You Must Have:
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience.
Experience with Project Engineer to support the Mechanical Enablement Solutions.
Experience with Hardware Tools such as MCAD and Analysis Tools.
The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
Must be willing and able to travel (domestic and international).

The salary range for this role is 82,000 USD - 164,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
