ASE, and Akima company, is looking to hire a Senior Systems Engineer to serve a subject matter expert for USCG IT systems lifecycle management.

This Hybrid position requires that you live within commuting distance from Alexandria, VA.

• Provide advanced technical knowledge and analysis of highly specialized applications and operational environment, high-level functional systems analysis, design, integration, documentation, and training.
• Provides implementation advice on complex problems that require expert level knowledge of the subject matter for effective implementation.
• From a computer systems standpoint, participates as needed in all phases of software and hardware development with emphasis on the planning, analysis, testing, integration, documentation, training, and presentation phases.
• From a business process standpoint, provides technical advice, guidance and direction for the improvement, modification, and re-engineering of business processes, policies and procedures for any functional area under consideration or review.
• Applies principles, methods, and knowledge of specific functional areas of expertise to specific programs.
• Directs the composition of/or composes and finalizes documentation.
• Assist in development of USCG RF comms systems.
• Provide technical and organizational expertise to USCG IT product line managers.

• Education and Experience:
  • Four-year Baccalaureate Degree from an accredited University in the field of Engineering and Ten (10) years of C4IT systems engineering experience, OR
  • Master’s degree in science, Engineering, Technology, or Mathematics with eight (8) years
    of C4IT system engineering experience.
• Active DoD Secret clearance is required.
• Able to commute into office in a Hybrid capacity as needed.
