Target salary range: $90,000 - $180,000.00

Responsibilities:
 - Perform requirements decomposition, allocation, and interface definition to convert customer needs into actionable engineering tasks. 
- Conduct hardware fault analysis including fault detection and fault isolation. 
- Support hardware/software interface alignment and system integration efforts. 
- Participate in technical planning, verification and validation, cost/risk analysis, and supportability assessments. 
- Translate high-level customer requirements into detailed hardware and software specifications via functional analysis and trade studies. 
- Apply Systems Engineering “V” methodology throughout product lifecycle stages. 
- Collaborate across engineering domains to ensure traceable, testable, and maintainable systems design 
   
Qualifications:
 - U.S. Citizenship is required by Federal Law
- Active Secret Clearance required
- Bachelor’s degree in a related STEM discipline and 5+ years of experience; or 3+ years with a Master’s, or 1+ year with a PhD. 
- Experience with: -    - Systems Engineering “V” model and lifecycle methodologies. 
- Performing engineering analysis, requirements decomposition, and interface development. 
- Diagnosing hardware faults and working with hardware/software integration. 
 
- Final bullet: On-site work required; occasional travel may be needed. 
Preferred Qualifications:
 - Experience on Missile Defense programs, especially GMD. 
- Working knowledge of DOORS for requirements management. 
- Familiarity with Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence). 
- Experience with Agile methodologies and serving as a Product Owner. 
- Exposure to Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) using Cameo. 
- Understanding of automated software requirements testing and DevSecOps workflows. 
- Knowledge of software containerization and orchestration tools.
