Job Description:
System Engineer – Integrated Modular Avionics
As IMA System Engineer, you will be responsible for defining /reviewing/ analyzing Integrated Modular Avionics (ATA 42) of different aircraft programs. Additionally, you will also be contributing to the state-of-the-art initiatives driven globally by the Airbus.
The activities to be performed include:
Responsible for creating ‘global’ module configuration
Work as a Module integrator to specify and integrate the Integrated Modular Avionics platform
Allocate IMA resources (memory, CPU time, etc.) as per program requirements.
Accountable for IMA safety-critical system and comply to special certification requirements.
Integrate all system application software together on module
Liaise with System Designer from major aircraft systems and Function Suppliers
Deliver as per Airbus Time, Cost and Quality standards
Defining, analyzing and tracking changes related to configuration
Provide suppliers, design offices and manufacturing teams with relevant information
Record proof of compliance to in the prescribed format
Undertake Feasibility studies for new modification proposals
Define and perform trade off studies for various programmes
Allied Activities:
Initiate optimization studies and propose innovative solutions.
Create collaboration topics to improve the process, methods and tools
EDUCATION:
- B.Tech. / B.E. / M.Tech. / M.E. in Avionics / Aerospace Engineering.
Required Technical Expertise:
- General awareness of aircraft and its systems
- Good understanding of engineering fundamentals and use of first principles.
- Knowledge of product analysis and project management would be an added advantage.
- Exposure to Aircraft Avionics System and System Engineering.
- Good understanding of Configuration Management and Change process.
- Training sessions will be conducted on different aspects of operations as needed
