Senior CNC Milling Machinist
We are currently recruiting for a Senior CNC Milling Machinist to join our team in Calgary, AB at our Calgary 8 facility. The Senior CNC Milling Machinist is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining a variety of machines within the Machine Shop.
Schedules
Evenings: Mon to Wed - 3pm to 1:30am, and Thu 3pm to 1am.
Weekends: Fri to Sun OR Sat to Mon - 6am to 6pm.
Key Responsibilities
- Work Performed:
- This position demonstrates safe working practices in the machining, fabrication and modification of aeronautical components
- The position may also be required to assist in the development of modifications and the preparation of preliminary sketches to tooling or final assemblies
- The position requires a thorough knowledge of layout and development, as well as methods and procedures of fabrication, weldability, heat treatment, etc.
- This position would be responsible for the training and mentorship of junior machinists.
Qualifications:
- 7+ years of experience in CNC Milling Machining as a Machinist/Programmer
- You must be a resident of, or willing to relocate to the Calgary, AB area
- Understanding and application of CNC programs and G-code
- Ability to translate the requirements of detailed part drawings into measurements for part verification
- Ability to perform daily, weekly & monthly maintenance on equipment
- Critical thinking skills and strong attention to detail
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Strong time-management and organizational skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills and are a team player
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
