Job Title: Ground Service Equipment Technician
Job DescriptionThis position involves conducting inspections and troubleshooting diesel engines on ground support equipment. The role requires diagnosing issues related to electrical, mechanical, hydraulic hoses, compressors, and more. The technician will work on various equipment used to tow planes, refuel planes, and support other airport operations. Travel is an essential part of the job, with an expectation of traveling 50 of the month, primarily by work van, but air travel may be necessary.
Responsibilities
- Conduct inspections and troubleshoot diesel engines on ground support equipment.
- Diagnose electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and compressor-related issues.
- Work on equipment such as plane towing vehicles, refueling equipment, jacks, and tripods.
- Travel extensively, with up to 50 of the month spent traveling, including air travel as needed.
- Ensure all work complies with safety and operational standards.
Essential Skills- Minimum of 3 years of experience working with diesel equipment.
- Proficiency in hydraulics and electrical systems.
- Experience in engine replacements.
- Valid driver’s license and US citizenship.
- Computer literacy.
- Ability to travel 50 of the time.
Additional Skills & Qualifications- Experience with ground service equipment (GSE) is preferred.
- Prior travel experience is a plus.

Work Environment
The work schedule is primarily 1st shift, usually 7 AM to 4 PM, but may vary depending on travel requirements, with most days being 10-hour shifts. Travel time is compensated, and work may occur at FBOs or General Aviation shops in smaller airports. When not traveling, work is conducted in a local shop situated in a newer, temperature-controlled building. Personal tools are not permitted as the company provides all required tools.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
