PAL Aerospace is a proud partner of Airbus Defence & Space for the Government of Canada’s Fixed Wing Search and Rescue aircraft replacement (FWSAR) program. PAL Aerospace is responsible for In FWSAR Service Support (ISS) ranging from working alongside DND at 1st line to performing at Depot level the maintenance not undertaken by Royal Canadian Air Force Squadrons. PAL’s Depot level work also includes the embodiment of aircraft modifications and the conduct of Special Inspections.
This significant and exciting project will pave the way for innovation and opportunity within PAL Aerospace, while growing our operations. In an effort to expand our FWSAR team, PAL Aerospace is currently looking for a Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) Aircraft Maintenance Records (AMCRO) Planner to join the team in Winnipeg, MB.
The MRO AMCRO Planner is responsible for providing aircraft maintenance planning, and oversight of operational and airworthiness documentation in accordance with the applicable elements of the Technical Airworthiness Manual (TAM) and PAL Aerospace Maintenance Process Manual and Joint Procedures Manual (MPM/JPM).
Responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to:
- Prepare scheduled and unscheduled maintenance documentation and associated maintenance control documents;
- Coordinate the day-to-day operations of AMCRO staff;
- Communicate and coordinate with necessary departments as required, including resolution of issues and process improvements concerning production planning;
- Coordinate and attend meetings, events, etc. as required;
- Support the development and execution of training the ERKS systems and documentation requirements to MRO personnel;
- Create required reports to support maintenance planning and progress status tracking;
- Review entry and closure of all completed aircraft work packages for completeness
- Ensure quick response time and delivery for any modified planning requirements due to additional work scope, engineering changes and/or miscalculated or shop and planning errors;
- Liaise with Department of National Defence (DND) representative to maintain aircraft record-set alignment;
- Work collaboratively with other team members across other departments as required;
- Administer the Electronic Information Environment (EIE) and control the distribution of updated Interactive Electronic Technical Manual (IETM);
- Ensure all publications are kept up to date and made available to the personnel;
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- 5 years of Document Management experience in a dynamic environment is required;
- Advanced MS Office suite user (particularly Excel/Word);
- Awareness of DND AMCRO role an asset;
- IT Support experience an asset;
- Attention to detail is essential;
- Familiarity with airworthiness principles and experience in the aviation industry relative to aircraft maintenance an asset;
- Strong analytical, interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills;
- Successful completion of the PAL FWSAR on-boarding training (to be provided);
- Successful completion the DND DRMIS training (to be provided);
- Be suitable for Level II – Secret clearance;
- Be suitable for International Trade in Armaments (ITAR) / Canadian Controlled Goods (CCG) clearance.
