Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Airframes Mechanic III -Team Lead specializing in Navy/Marine Corps aviation at the Organizational level for our operations on F-35 and F/A-18 aircraft located at Beaufort, SC and Cherry Point, NC.
This role is essential to supporting the Intermediate Level (I-Level) and Organizational Level (O-Level) corrosion control related to scheduled/unscheduled maintenance, to include the following: special inspections, corrosion treatment, corrosion prevention, topcoat maintenance/low observable restoration, and environmental seal restoration maintenance.
- The Team Lead shall be responsible for all contractor activities related to the overall supervision of the contract performance associated with maintenance efforts.
- Serve as the individual receiving priorities from the Government and tasking the team to complete the priorities. Team Lead is also responsible for communicating any feedback or requirements back to the AMO/COR and for the overall completion of work.
- Possess knowledge of the learning process and how to transfer technical knowledge to less qualified personnel, including the ability to express thought in both oral and written communications.
- Aviation Structural Mechanic Core
Position Responsibilities:
- Performs routine aircraft maintenance functions.
- Completes and Maintains aircraft forms and records.
- Demonstrates an operational knowledge of aircraft, aircraft systems, engines and component parts
- Operates aircraft towing equipment in towing operations
- Maintains aircraft hydraulic systems
- Must have knowledge of the proper use of hand tools in aircraft maintenance
- Must be able to read and write, and interpret and comply with aircraft maintenance procedures, manuals, specifications, and directives, guides and forms used on the job
- Corrosion Prevention and treatment
- Aircraft Paint and LO training
- Performs preventive maintenance inspections on aircraft and aircraft systems and subsystems
- Performs troubleshooting, repair, modifications, corrosion control and preservation of aircraft and aircraft systems and aircraft sub-systems.
- Services ground support equipment. Performs preventive maintenance inspections on all ground support equipment
- Uses blueprints, schematics, technical drawings and manufacturers’ drawings and sketches in the performance of assigned duties
- Completes maintenance documentation accurately using OOMA, ALIS and required forms, as required by job assignment
- Must show proficiency in the use of OOMA and ALIS within 90 days after assignment
