Role Summary
* In this role, you will perform structural maintenance and modifications on F-15 aircraft, including drilling, reaming, fastening, and installation of critical support structures. You will read and interpret engineering drawings, technical orders, and process specifications. You will maintain safety and quality standards, use specialized tools and fixtures, and support defect-free assembly and modifications. You will assist and train other team members and ensure work is completed according to schedule and technical requirements. Education & Job Requirements
* High School Diploma or GED.
* A minimum of 4 years of experience working with non-porous metals such as aluminum, titanium, and stainless steel.
* A minimum of 4 years of experience working with schematics, specifications, assembly drawings, and standard operating procedures.
* A minimum of 4 years of experience using structural hand tools such as drills (45° and 90°), pancake adapters, countersink cages, hole finders, and rivet guns.
* A minimum of 4 years of experience performing heavy structure modifications, including locating, drilling, countersinking, and fastening components such as doublers, stringers, webs, and seat tracks.
* Experience working with F-15 aircraft.
* Ability to work variable shifts, including scheduled and unscheduled overtime, weekends, and holidays.
* Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance (interim or final Secret, post-start).
* Ability to pass training assessments and maintain required certifications. Professional Attributes

* Ability to operate a forklift, mobile crane, and riding-type electric powered elevating equipment. Job Duties & Functions
* Perform close tolerance drilling, reaming, removal, and installation on critical support structures and fracture critical areas.
* Locate blind holes required for installation of structural items.
* Perform sealing, painting, shimming, and preservation of structures per standard repair processes.
* Read and interpret engineering drawings, technical orders, process specifications, and retrofit requirements.
* Use tooling assemblies and fixtures for depot-level modifications and structural repairs.
* Perform mechanical component troubleshooting and repair, and replace non-complex electrical components.
* Access aircraft data via computer systems and initiate on-line parts and discrepancy requests.
* Maintain necessary certifications, licenses, and permits.
* Assist other team members, including General Mechanics, Avionics, and Electronics, to meet cost and schedule targets.
* Comply with site tool procedures and Foreign Object Debris (FOD) prevention.
* Ensure proper use of all equipment according to safety and operating procedures. Physical Requirements & Environment
* Ascend and descend vertical ladders and work in confined spaces.
* Lift loads of approximately 35 pounds, with occasional two-person lifts for weights over 50 pounds.
* Frequently reach overhead, walk, stand on flat and uneven surfaces, balance on ladders or steps, and climb 3–12 ft ladders or stands.
* Rotate head and neck, sit, crawl, squat, bend, stoop, lie down, and operate foot controls for extended periods.
* Use personal protective equipment for face, eyes, ears, hands, and arms.
* Pass visual acuity and color perception tests.
* Handle, use, and dispose of hazardous materials.
* Be exposed to noise and elevated platforms.
* Perform occasional finger manipulation tasks.
