Location: Charleston, SC Full-Time Consultant (12-Month Contract) $36.03–$45.41/hr Variable Shifts (1st, 2nd, or 3rd)
This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.
Your Expertise Keeps Aircraft in the SkyPDS Tech Commercial is seeking a skilled Flight Readiness Technician (Level C) to perform final inspections, system validations, and troubleshooting for commercial aircraft at our Charleston, SC location. This role is essential to ensuring the safety, compliance, and operational readiness of every aircraft before delivery.
As a Flight Readiness Technician, you’ll operate in a dynamic flight line environment, collaborating with cross-functional teams to validate system integrity and maintain the highest quality standards in the aerospace industry.
What You’ll DoPerform inspections and verifications on flight component installations
Execute functional testing of pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, and avionics systems
Support troubleshooting, maintenance, and rework during pre- and post-flight activities
Document and confirm accuracy of work performed and verify system performance
Conduct system and sub-system pre-delivery inspections
Identify and record non-conformances and generate compliance documentation
Collaborate with leads and engineering teams to manage inspection activities
Maintain active certifications and compliance with safety protocols
What You’ll Need to SucceedRequired Qualifications:FAA Airframe & Power Plant license or signed FAA Form 8610-2
Minimum 3 years of experience in aerospace, fabrication, or manufacturing
At least 3 years in quality inspection, auditing, or flight line operations
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Availability for variable shifts (1st, 2nd, or 3rd) and weekend work as needed
???????Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working on 787 aircraft or large commercial aircraft platforms
Familiarity with Foreign Object Debris (FOD) risk management
Informal or formal leadership experience on technical teams
Proficiency in documentation systems for non-conformance and process reporting
Experience using systems like REDARS, PSDS, and related specifications

Pay Details: $36.03 to $45.41 per hour
