Role Summary
* In this role, you will perform testing, troubleshooting, repair, and modification of developmental and production mechanical, electronic, and fiber optic components, parts, equipment, and systems under the direction of the Production Supervisor. You will read and interpret work instructions, engineering drawings, sketches, and test procedures to determine assembly and test methods. You will work closely with engineers to conduct experiments, calibrations, and quality testing of components, subassemblies, and final assemblies. Regular and predictable attendance is required. Education & Job Requirements:
* You must have:
* High School Diploma or equivalent
* A minimum of 4 years of prior relevant experience, or 2 years post-secondary/Associates Degree with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience
* Ability to travel occasionally as required Job Duties & Functions:
* You will be able:
* Conduct functional and continuity tests of electrical and optical assemblies, components, and harnesses using ohmmeters, oscilloscopes, and other test equipment
* Recommend changes in test procedures and test specifications to improve performance and functional testing of production or prototype components
* Set up standard test apparatus or devise test equipment and circuitry to conduct functional, operational, environmental, and life tests to evaluate performance and reliability per test procedures
* Assist engineers in troubleshooting failed production or prototype components under their direction and guidance
* Work with Mechanical and Electronics Engineers to assist with relevant parts of the project as needed
* Follow product test procedures, equipment operation, and documented safety practices per the company quality system manual
* Promote cordial relationships and maintain a favorable business profile with customers, suppliers, co-workers, industry and professional associations, government agencies, and the local community Physical Requirements:

* Perform work requiring moderate dexterity and the use of hand tools
* Safely handle electrical and mechanical components, test equipment, and subassemblies
