Responsibilities:
 - Perform removal, replacement, and upgrade of aircraft components to correct failures or implement system modifications 
- Troubleshoot complex avionics, hydraulic, pneumatic, engine, and structural systems 
- Validate and verify the functionality of repaired or replaced systems and components 
- Inspect components and systems to ensure flight-worthiness and compliance with maintenance requirements 
- Document all repairs, tests, inspections, and modifications in accordance with contractual and regulatory standards (e.g., CNAFINST 4790.2) 
- Safely perform all aircraft handling procedures on the ground 
- Apply technical expertise using blueprints, technical manuals, and manufacturer documentation to resolve complex maintenance issues 
- Identify required materials and special tools for assigned tasks 
- Certify U.S. Navy personnel through the Advanced Skills Management (ASM) program 
- Work independently with minimal supervision in high-tempo environments 
- May support detachment operations away from the main base 
- Temporary travel assignments to Whidbey Island, WA for up to 8 weeks 
   
   
Qualifications:
 - High School Diploma or GED; vocational school or Associate degree preferred 
- Minimum 5 years of experience in military or civilian aircraft maintenance and/or production 
- Active Secret Clearance required at time of start 
- Must be willing to work variable shifts, including weekends, overtime, and rotating schedules 
- Must be deployable on short notice to domestic and international locations; refusal to deploy may result in voluntary resignation 
Preferred Qualifications:
 - 5+ years of experience with P-8A Poseidon, Boeing 737 platforms, and 4790 maintenance systems 
- Familiarity with U.S. Navy Advanced Skills Management (ASM) program 
- Previous experience supporting a U.S. Navy or DoD maintenance organization
