Test Bench Technician - LRUS

Job Description:

Summary of Job Purpose:
Operate a test bench to perform the calibration of the Arriel 1, Arriel 2 and Arrius 2 Safran Helicopter Engines family Fuel Control Unit (FCU and Hydro-Mechanical Unit (HMU).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
•tCalibrate FCU and/or HMU per assigned Overhaul manual or Component Maintenance Manual.
•tPerform trouble shooting when performance is not meet.
•tPerform allowed repair on the test bench such as drive shaft sealing replacement.
•tReplace sub-assemblies such as deltaP when trouble shooting required it.
•tPerform investigation and warranty test following the Investigation Workscope and provide data/feedback to investigator.
•tMay be assigned responsibility for training of co-workers and ensures that they are properly trained for each task they are performing.
•tDefine and implement changes as necessary to improve processes.
•tEnsure that safety is a priority.
•tEnsure cleanliness of work area.
•tMay be assigned responsibility for maintenance performed during his/her shift.
•tSupports Safran Helicopter Engines and management policies.

Job Requirements:

Required Competencies; Education / Knowledge / Skills and Abilities:
•\tFCU and/or HMU assembly and repair qualification preferred.
•\tSAP Knowledge preferred.
•\tMyInd Knowledge preferred.
•\tMechanical/technical/interpersonal – Advanced – Skills must be adapted to the unique requirements of the organization.
•\tIntermediate – Microsoft Office: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
•\tPowerplant License preferred•\tWhile performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to stand. The employee is occasionally required to walk; sit and talk or hear.
•\tThe employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision and ability to adjust focus.
•\tWhile performing the duties of this Job, the employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals.
