In this role, you will:

  • Facilitate key ceremonies such as PI Planning and Reviews. Play a consultative role to help put in place the appropriate people, processes, and tools supporting the Agile framework. Coach members of the team as needed to optimize the efficiency of the Release Train team.
  • Act as a champion in blending traditional project management principles and practices with an Agile development approach, in the right proportions to fit initiatives of all sizes. Apply the appropriate level of planning and provide the right balance of agility and predictability based on PMI-ACP principles.
  • Build a trusting and safe environment where problems can be raised without fear of blame or retribution, with an emphasis on healing and problem-solving. Support the team(s) using a servant leadership style and lead by example. Encourage discussion, decision-making, and conflict resolution.
  • Lead Integrated Programme Planning (Lean Start-Up). Work with portfolio teams and support the Technical Product Manager to drive and facilitate decomposition of Epic Roadmaps into Integrated Program backlog/plans (Features), ready for hand-off into team-level backlogs.
  • Drive quality and ensure the Definition of Done (DoD) is being followed. Ensure each team member is fully engaged and making a meaningful contribution. Encourage a sustainable pace, adhering to the quality management plan. Maintain Agile project management tools (e.g., ScrumDesk, JIRA).
  • Hold teams accountable for commitments, remove roadblocks, and leverage cross-functional skills to improve product backlog throughput. Mentor and develop team members to enhance collaboration and delivery effectiveness.
  • Attend regular stand-ups and scrum of scrums to monitor team progress and surface any critical external issues that need to be addresse
Qualification

To be considered for this role you must meet the below requirements:

  • Degree or Honours (12+3 or equivalent) in Computer Science or equivalent and 8+ years of experience in Information Technology.
  • Certified SAFe and PMI-ACP (additional certifications such as PMI, PRINCE2, CSM desirable), with 5+ years of practical application of the Scrum Management discipline.
  • Well-versed in the use of tools for software delivery, e.g., ServiceNow ITBM, MS Office Suite, JIRA, Confluence, etc. Good architectural knowledge of large-scale systems.
  • Ability to effectively communicate specialist information in an understandable format to all stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication skills, focusing on core Scrum values of openness, honesty, and respect. Hands-on leader with strong people skills.
  • Proven experience in managing and delivering private cloud infrastructure projects — including platform automation, software-defined infrastructure, and the development of self-service portals to enhance operational efficiency. Extensive experience leading infrastructure modernization initiatives, such as the implementation of software-defined data centers (SDDC), hyper-converged infrastructure (HCI), and containerized workloads.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and deliver large-scale private cloud deployment projects, ensuring seamless workload migration, automation, and adoption of software-defined infrastructure. Expertise in database infrastructure delivery, with a strong track record in implementing Database-as-a-Service (DBaaS) models, driving self-service automation, and enabling cloud-native database solutions.
  • Extensive experience in delivering network and telecom infrastructure projects — including successful network automation, SDN deployment, self-service enablement, and cloud connectivity integration. Strong understanding of network transformation, migration, and optimization efforts — including software-defined WAN (SD-WAN) implementations, hybrid network connectivity, and network security enforcement.
  • Proven leadership and project delivery experience in a matrix organisation with global teams for a large organisation, and experience in Agile delivery within the context of a large technology change programme.

Cybersecurity

  • The position of Cybersecurity Agile Delivery Manager further requires a general working knowledge of cybersecurity. Must have a general understanding of information security policies, processes, procedures, strategy, and plans — including PCI-DSS, GDPR, ISO 2700x, and/or NIST 800 compliance and privacy frameworks. Evidence of leading cybersecurity-specific infrastructure, cloud, assurance, or GRC programs would be required.
