ROLE SUMMARY:

The Lead Invoicing Leader is a both internal and external facing role responsible for enabling the billing operations for GE Aviation Hungary. The individual is responsible for designing, implementing and enforcing procedures, as well as streamlining effective and robust contract flow down, billing and collection processes across multiple products and customers.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Billing Operations: Ensure accurate and timely billing document creation (manual or automated invoicing; credit & rebill process), while addressing and resolving discrepancies related to pricing and billing. This role plays a critical part in maintaining financial accuracy and enhancing customer satisfaction by identifying and correcting issues that impact billing integrity.
  • Contract Flowdown & Customer Master Data Management: Own the contract flowdown process, define roles and responsibilities, and sustain a robust customer master data management process.
  • SAP & OBC Process Management: Manage SAP infrastructure as a key user, act as OBC key user in OASIS SAP, and lead user training to support Order, Bill, Collect (OBC) processes. Initiate, test, and follow up on SAP improvements, fix SAP errors, and adopt digital tools to enhance invoicing and master data processes.
  • Invoice Accuracy & Cash Collection: Manage the entire invoice flow – including customers on cash in advance term, analyze data to improve invoice accuracy and cash collection efficiency, implement cross-stream processes, and resolve invoice disputes with customers.
  • Global Standards & Cross-Functional Collaboration: Cooperate with GE Headquarters to integrate global standards, communicate solutions across functions, and lead cross-functional projects to improve master data and process accuracy by creating Business procedures
  • Leadership & Expertise: Present project plans, technical roadmaps, risks, and recommendations to business leaders. Serve as a specialist internally and externally in the discipline. Have excellent analytical abilities to solve complex problems and make data-driven decisions while managing cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Customer Experience: Sustain the high-level customer service by owning the entire contract and customer set up along with quote and invoice accuracy and ensure that the process is consistent across all customers to build and keep trust and reliability. Anticipate potential issues and resolve them before they escalate. Proactively resolve issues before they escalate. Support the Customer Experience (CX) team and customer directly with the necessary tools and knowledge to provide world class customer service. Potential to own direct relationship with customer(s) dependent on background.
  • Lean Mindset and Project Management: Identify and lead cross functional projects in the area of billing, cash collection, customer data, customer setup and other areas as needed to support customer needs. Working across the Hungary site as well as the global GE Aerospace network to provide proactive solutions to customers and CX team.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college
  • In-depth understanding of end-to-end billing and collection processes
  • SAP Knowledge
  • Strong experience in supply chain
  • Ability to prioritize and have a good combination skillset.
  • Excellent communication skillset in verbal and written format
  • English and Hungarian language skill in both written and verbal format 
  • Has a strong team player mentality
  • Has great organizational and motivational skills.
  • Has strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Demonstrated skills in coaching and mentoring talent within organization

  • Previous experience as SAP key user is a significant advantage
