As Medical Benefits Manager - Medical Provider Network, you will lead the strategic development, optimisation, and oversight of the global medical provider network serving employees across various insurance categories, with a key focus on cost containment, operational efficiency, and quality of care
In this role, you will:
- Conduct comprehensive domestic and international research on medical networks, including benchspaning services, prices, and quality through surveys and comparative studies. Analyse findings and present recommendations for preferred providers.
- Manage the full contracting process with medical providers, ensuring compliance with departmental guidelines while negotiating cost-effective tariffs without compromising quality. Collaborate with Procurement & Logistics on tender processes.
- Ensure that the quality of medical services provided is at a satisfactory level through creating and updating appropriate benchspans, monitoring adherence, providing periodic feedback to providers and working with them to rectify any issues. Proactively communicate and resolve any complaints received concerning providers.
- Establish and monitor benchspans for medical service quality, ensuring compliance with policies and SOP adherence. Address complaints, provide feedback, and work with providers to rectify issues, maintaining high service standards.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with medical providers, including hospitals, clinics, pharmacies, and health officials. Keep stakeholders informed of policy changes and conduct training sessions as needed to enhance collaboration.
- Develop and continuously refine a comprehensive medical network strategy that supports existing and future needs. Assess risks, financial impacts, and key requirements while ensuring alignment with broader Medical Services policies.
QualificationIn order to be successful in this role, you must meet the following requirements:
- Degree in health care, medical administration or business and a minimum of 8 years of experience in medical administration or management.
- Experience in a supervisory role.
- Knowledge of the UAE Medical environment
- Knowledge of global healthcare
Youll have an edge if you have:
- Master Degree in Business Administration.
- Project Management Skills.
- Written & verbal Arabic skills.
