POSITION OVERVIEW
Coordination of the aircraft maintenance activities in the northern/remote bases.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist in employee recruitment, performance evaluation, promotion, retention and termination activities;
- Enhance communication between crew chiefs and crews;
- Implementation of processes for the base;
- Evaluation of base operations and suggest avenues of improvement;
- Daily monitoring of MEL and AOG’s to ensure efficient operations;
- Co-ordination of parts for efficient operation;
- Actively reviewing flight delays to improve operations;
- Approving of expense claims;
- Organize training;
- Schedule replacement/additional manpower for all maintenance bases and ensure maintenance activities are coordinated and effective;
- Carry out regular base visits.
WHAT WILL MAKE YOU AN IDEAL CANDIDATE
- Hold a valid M1 and/or M2 Aircraft Maintenance Engineer licensel
- Have acquired a minimum of six years’ experience in the performance or direct supervision of maintenance activities;
- Have successfully completed the qualifying exam for AMO certification privileges;
- Be familiar with the appropriate parts of the MPM, MCM, aircraft operations specifications and maintenance manuals necessary for the performance of his/her duties;
- Know the provisions of the Aeronautics Act, the Canadian Aviation Regulations and applicable Standards necessary for the proper performance of his/her duties;
- Must be able to obtain and maintain airport security clearance including a driver’s airside permit.
WORKING CONDITIONS
- Work location – Air Inuit Technical Center - Montreal-Trudeau airport;
- 37.5 hrs per week with possibility of hybrid schedule, working from home 1 day per week.
COMPENSATION
- Compensation and benefits are determined in accordance with corporate policy;
- Annual salary range ($115,118 – $166,398) commensurate with experience.
