About the role & the teamAs a Project Manager, your primary responsibility will be to drive projects that make travel easy and safe for our customers at every step of the way, while also promoting sustainability and cultural diversity. This role thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic, and agile environment that spans the globe and welcomes cultural differences. To succeed in this role, you should have a results-oriented approach and ability to motivate team members, appreciate different perspectives, and be capable of managing projects across different locations. Additionally, you should be proficient in stakeholder engagement, scheduling, quality assurance, people relations, and be committed to creating sustainable value for our customers and the environment.
What you will do
• Managing projects - Project size will vary in scope and complexity. You manage the project throughout its life cycle - from inception through project closure. You manage change, mitigate risks, and deliver results to stakeholders and customers alike.
• Working with project teams - Every project is completed through a team effort, working together with a diverse group of passionate professionals. As the Project Manager, you will regularly track project activities against planned schedules and take corrective action in case of any deviations. You will also communicate regularly and frequently with team members, management, stakeholders, and customers to ensure a continuous understanding and alignment on project progress.
• Working with customers - As a Project Manager, you are committed to delivering excellent customer service. You proactively work with the customer and their teams to ensure that each project goal and objective is met with satisfaction, and that their needs and expectations are consistently exceeded.
• Project Management administration - In addition to managing the project itself, you will also be responsible for project documentation. This includes developing communication
strategy plans, designing resource and project plans, providing status reports, submitting and tracking change requests, tracking risks and issues, providing variance reports, and submitting Steering Committee reports and lessons learned. Your ability to write clearly and accurately is crucial to the success of the project.
• Sustainability- As a Project Manager, its crucial to incorporate sustainability into the role. This involves considering the long-term impacts of project outcomes during planning, and promoting sustainable behaviours among project teams by setting goals and metrics. By taking a sustainability-focused approach, you can help to ensure that the project delivers sustainable outcomes that benefit both the organization and the environment.
• Project Manager is required to collaborate and manage all customer facing projects on the SITA Project Management Tool. You are responsible to provide consistent and accurate project information, documents, and reports in compliance with established governance to meet SITA’s corporate and delivery performance objective.
• Project Managers are required to drive the profitability of their projects and to work with the Project Financial Controller to manage the project P&L in accordance with the Business Case.
Qualifications
Who are you• To be successful in this role, you should have a proven track record of managing multiple projects of varying sizes, budgets, and deliverables within a commercial environment.
• Additionally, you should have working experience with executives and senior management.
•Ideally, you will also have experience working with IT solutions, in the travel and transportation industry.
•Minimum 5 years of experience in project management.
• University degree or equivalent
• Formal project management training and certification - PMP certified preferred
• Scrum master preferred
