Shift: 4/10 1st Shift: Mon Thu, 5:00 AM 3:30 PM EST

Summary:
Use microscope to verify part placement and orientation; manually align parts before soldering and perform post re-flow inspection and touch-up
Identify and repair solder defects, including:
Poorly wetted joints
Solder voids/insufficient solder
Shorts/bridges
Misaligned leads
Tombstoned or billboarded components
Use Automated Optical Inspection (AOI) equipment; distinguish real defects from false calls
Read instructions and identify standard SMT components
Operate rework equipment: hot air pencils, hot plates, BGA removal (ERSA or other OEM)
Review boards under X-ray to identify solder defects on bottom-terminated components
Run, solder, and tack down jumper wires on re-design boards (a plus)
Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED
Minimum 5 years soldering experience with surface mount components
Exceptional soldering skills and rework experience
Able to work in a fast-paced environment with overtime as needed
Able to sit for long periods and maintain focus on repetitive tasks
Must read/write English and pass a medical test
IPC-610 (expired or active required)
IPC J-STD-001 (expired or active required)
IPC-7711/7721 (expired or active preferred)
Overtime may be required on weekends
Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
