Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Composite Technician to join our team. This role involves the layup of composite details and assemblies, preparation of molds and tools, and operation of composite oven processing.

Responsibilities

• Layup of composite details and assemblies using blueprints, engineering, written or verbal instructions.
• Prepare molds and tools for the layup process, including the application of sealants and release agents.
• Cut various composite materials to meet job requirements.
• Operate composite oven processing and recording equipment.
• Document composite materials for traceability.
• Demold parts after processing.
• Perform various other miscellaneous duties and job positions as required.

• Composite fabrication and lamination experience.
• Proficiency with hand tools and cutting tools.
• Experience with blueprints and quality assurance.
• Knowledge of composite materials and manufacturing processes.
• Ability to perform visual inspections.

• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Familiarity with shop and hand tools.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to follow process specifications.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Work Environment

Work in an indoor manufacturing environment with exposure to adhesives, resins, and particulates. Requires wearing PPE such as gloves, safety glasses, and respirators when needed. The role may involve lifting up to 50 lbs. and repetitive motions. Work schedule is Monday to Thursday, 6:30am to 4:30pm (9-hour shifts), and Friday, 7am to 11am (4-hour shift).

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of San Antonio, Texas

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
