Responsibilities:
 - Performs machine set-up, machining, welding set-up, welding, sheet metal fabrication and extrusion, tube bending and fabrication tasks. Performs composite lay-up, fabrication, and assembly tasks.
- Assembles precision mechanical and electro-mechanical components.
- Assembles, repairs, modifies and installs various power plants and drive trains.
- Perform soldering on electronic and avionics products.
- Assembles and installs wire harnesses and avionics products.
- Prepares test articles, fixtures and data collection devices to perform various tests. Performs basic organic chemical conversion and paint preparation.
- Applies routine organic coatings for corrosion protection and appearance requirements.
- Works on articles of limited complexity following established drawings and requirements.
   
   
Qualifications:
 - Minimum of 3 years operates specialized Friction Stir Welding machinery 
- Experience working with welding tools 
- Understanding the welding process and ability to work along side engineers and other team units 
- The selected candidate must have a minimum of 3 years operates specialized Friction Stir Welding (FSW) machinery to join metal parts using a solid-state process, prepares materials, inspects welds for quality, performs routine machine maintenance, and utilizes precision measuring tools. 
- This role requires knowledge of welding and preparation, a strong understanding of metallurgy, and the ability to collaborate with engineers on process development and problem-solving to ensure high-quality, strong bonds for industries for aerospace. 
   
Selected candidates will go through specialized training (anywhere from 3-4 weeks) to get them trained on the SLS process and tools.
