Summary:
Provide engineering support to the B-52 Commercial Engine Replacement Program (CERP).
Collaborate with the team to create, revise, and review build and installation plans for the B-52J Commercial Reengine Program.
Possess experience and knowledge of manufacturing methods and fabrication processes, including forming, stamping, machining, heat treatment, machine tools, cutting tools and fluids, instrumentation, data acquisition, and control systems.
Develop work instructions for installing components, systems, and assemblies.
Create, revise, and maintain production and manufacturing process documents and training materials.
Ensure documentation is accurate, current, and compliant with industry standards.
Conduct routine data analysis to identify discrepancies and opportunities for improvement.
Follow procedures, publication standards, and government/customer specifications for authoring documents.
Maintain data in web-based or online tools.
Collaborate with project teams and subject matter experts to assess documentation needs.
Provide guidance and mentorship to team members during project execution.
Work independently with minimal supervision, maintaining a positive attitude and high ethical standards.
Proactively seek information and direction to meet the statement of work and production schedules.
Analyze engineering drawings and modifications to understand their impact on the product.
Work collaboratively with multi-functional teams and be flexible to coordinate with Boeing personnel worldwide.
Maintain awareness of AS9100D quality management system requirements and ensure compliance.
Resolve technical issues affecting performance, cost, or schedule.
Build and maintain relationships with customers, stakeholders, and partners to support project execution.
Apply strong analytical skills to problem solving and drive innovation with speed and agility.
Requirements:
Bachelors degree in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry (ABET accreditation preferred)
5+ years related work experience; or equivalent combinations such as PhD or Masters plus 3+ years experience.
1+ year working with aircraft wiring, structures, or systems installation and planning
Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
