Description:You will be a Numerical Control Programmer wth our Computer Aided Inspection (CAI) Group in Grand Prairie, TX. Our team is responsible for supporting a rapidly growing shop by developing and implementing efficient CAI processes on varies types of equipment.

What You Will Be Doing
As the CAI programmer, you will be responsible for creating programs for computer-controlled equipment and collaborating with a team to support shop floor operations. You will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of our Quality Inspection processes.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Create programs for computer controlled machines using engineering drawings and models
• Analyze engineering drawings and determine the appropriate machine, machining strategy, probes and parameters, also develop work holding fixture concepts
• Support shop floor by troubleshooting issues
• Identify opportunities to improve current processes
• Provide time estimates for upcoming new parts
• Research, test and implement new inspection technology
• Collaborate and brainstorm with teammates and leadership to develop strategies in support of future shop growth

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a secret clearance.
Basic Qualifications:
• High School Degree or higher
• CMM programming experience using a Zeiss Calypso package
• Proven process improvement and problem solving experience
• Knowledge of inspection practices
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
Desired Skills:
• Experience programming Zeiss CMM’s using Calypso software
• Experience with Zeiss Inspect for CT scanning or Structured Light Scanning is a plus
• Ability to design fixturing / work holding solutions
• Experience evaluating new designs and working with engineering to improve part inspectability
• Experience leading the development and implementation of new processes
• Candidate should have a combination of experience and education equivalent to one of the following:
o 5 years machining programming experience plus bachelor’s degree
o 7 years machining programming experience plus associates degree
o 9 years machining programming experience
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
Clearance Level: Secret

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
