🛠️ What You’ll Do:
- Oversee the end-to-end biweekly payroll process in ADP Workforce Now Comprehensive Services to ensure accurate and timely completion.
- Prepare payroll, reporting, adjustments, and remittances for statutory and customary payroll deductions.
- Manage the ADP payroll system, accurately entering new hire information, wage changes, vacation entitlements, benefit remittances, and other required data in accordance with company policy and legislation.
- Prepare T4s, T4As, ROEs and other forms related to employment for employees and contractors.
- Manage government remittances such as withholding taxes, EI, CPP, T4s, WSIB etc. as required.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of all federal and provincial employment and taxation standards to ensure compliance with statutes.
- Maintain an accurate and complete trail of supporting documentation for all activities.
- Act as the main contact for all payroll and benefits-related inquiries from employees, auditors and government bodies.
- Maintain employee files ensuring high levels of confidentiality in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Administer group health benefits and RRSP/DPSP programs, including employee enrollment, premium reporting, and processing contributions and employer matching.
- Prepare, reconcile and forward payment for monthly billings and premiums arising from group insurance benefits.
- Communicate and liaise with payroll and benefit providers regarding discrepancies, technical issues, and any member issues.
- Contribute to documentation/development of internal HR processes (Standard Operating Procedures) as requested.
- Assist with various year-end processes including payroll budget review and analysis.
- Contribute to the team effort by taking on ad-hoc projects as assigned.
🎯 What You Bring:
- University degree or College Diploma in Human Resources or a similar field.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience with payroll processing.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience administering group benefits.
- Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) designation is considered an asset.
- Prior on-the-job experience using ADP Workforce Now.
- Extreme sense of confidentiality and discretion.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Demonstrated knowledge of payroll business practices and federal legislation as it relates to payroll.
- Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills, and ability to interact with all levels of the organization.
- A client-focus and process-improvement mindset, always looking for ways to add value.
- High self-motivation with the ability to work within deadlines.
- Results driven.
- Proficiency with MS Office including MS Excel.
