Job Summary
Plan, schedule and expedite shop-floor activities to meet production schedules and ensure on-time delivery to customers.
Minimize over dues and maintain inventory at an optimum level.
Comply with system integrity.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Analyze material flow and utilize production scheduling techniques to manage
cell planning and production schedules to support on-time delivery to customers.
- Review daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly performance results to identify
trends and opportunities to take corrective and continuous improvement actions.
- Monitor and manage input/output and WIP based on demand to achieve
optimum inventory levels with maximum performance and minimum delay.
- Support material planning group to meet delivery and inventory turn
performance goals.
- Provide support in material issues related to engineering changes and new
product start up.
- Analyze demand fluctuations, load changes, capacity requirements etc.
- Close coordination with inter-departments to resolve
planning/scheduling/shipment related issues.
- Comply with standard operational practices, methods, procedures and SAP
system updates.
- Depth of experiences/ knowledge to provide coaching and guidance to
coworker.
- Participate and initiate continuous improvement activities.
- Liaise with internal/external customers when required.
Minimum Education required (specific field or equivalent):
Bachelor Degree in Business / Supply Chain
Minimum years of experience in role:
3-5
Preferred Skills (if any):
- Strong analytical skills with problem-solving aptitude
- Dynamic and highly driven with the ability to respond to changing business environment
- SAP-based materials planning with MRP expertise
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables, macros). Familiarity with Power BI and Tableau for data visualization and analytics is a plus.
- Rapidly analyze historical data, spanet trends, and real-time customer inputs to deliver accurate business changes and potential risks and actionable insights that directly support business-critical decisions on a timely basis.
- Take ownership of the monthly SIOP cycle, ensuring clear visibility, accountability, and follow-through on key deliverables drive alignment between demand and supply plans while promoting transparency and urgency in decision-making on short-term and long-term strategy.
- Collaborate with Finance, Sales, Engineering, and Operations to align business strategies with operational capabilities, assess capacity constraints and recommend resource plans that meet inventory and financial targets.
- Leverage data analytics and planning tools to optimize inventory by developing strategies to reduce excess, minimize shortages and align on-time delivery with targets to balance capacity and financial risks across the value stream.
- Drive continuous improvements to enhance overall SIOP effectiveness by eliminating process gaps, enhance forecast accuracy, automating reporting, shortening cycle times and streamlining cross-functional handoffs.
CORE:
- Support the Continuous Improvement programs and CORE activities within the company
- Minimum CORE Associate certification
EH&S:
- Support and participate in the EH&S programs and activities within the company
- Report all incidents (injuries, illnesses, near misses, spills etc), hazardous conditions, and emergencies to his/her supervisor
- Responsible for performing a risk assessment of work activities, taking corrective and preventive actions
- Comply with EH&S regulations/policies/programs/rules and use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Participate in audits and inspections as and when required
- Attend EH&S training programs and takes personal responsibility for safety
