Contract Position
$43.94 Hour
   
Support MV-22 Osprey maintenance and modification operations by performing inspections, repairs, component replacements, and aircraft system modifications independently, with a focus in either Electrical/Avionics or Airframe systems.
   
Responsibilities:
 - Perform assembly, disassembly, and repairs of aircraft components using standard aerospace maintenance procedures 
- Conduct component removal/replacement for repair, testing, or serviceability 
- Troubleshoot and resolve routine mechanical/electrical issues using fault isolation procedures 
- Execute functional and diagnostic testing with manual and automated tools 
- Validate systems/components for proper operation and service readiness 
- Modify aircraft systems per engineering and technical documentation 
- Inspect components and installations for FOD, cleanliness, and serviceability 
- Identify and document discrepancies and assist with resolutions 
- Accurately complete documentation for repairs, inspections, and modifications to ensure compliance 
- Support quality assurance by validating instructions and identifying inconsistencies in technical directives 
- Collaborate with engineering as needed to correct or clarify repair/modification processes 
- Ensure adherence to tool control, safety, and FOD prevention protocols 
   
   
Qualifications:
 - High School Diploma   or GED and   4+ years of related aircraft maintenance/modification experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience performing maintenance or modifications on MV-22 aircraft 
- Familiarity with general aircraft maintenance protocols, including FOD control, tool control, and safety practices 
- Proficiency in either Electrical/Avionics systems or Airframe systems 
Preferred Qualifications:
 - FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License 
- Experience in Depot-level aircraft modification 
- Quality Assurance (QA) experience in an aerospace or military environment
