Join a team dedicated to designing and producing armored combat and support vehicles. As a prime mover in ground force capabilities, this firm provides innovative solutions that ensure the safety and effectiveness of military personnel worldwide, focusing on durability, mobility, and performance.
   
Responsibilities:
 - Develop and support embedded software for a new ground combat vehicle program, spanning the entire software development lifecycle. 
- Design and transition to a new software development environment. 
- Generate and maintain software requirements, architecture, and design documentation. 
- Develop and test embedded software in vehicle domains such as board support, cybersecurity, displays, and data downloading. 
- Conduct software requirements analysis and design using department-approved tools and methodologies. 
- Write code in alignment with organizational coding standards and implement software designs. 
- Develop and execute test procedures for unit and functional testing. 
- Perform hardware/software integration and troubleshoot issues across testing phases. 
- Contribute to collaborative software releases involving multiple developers and CSCIs. 
- Interface with Systems Engineering and Software Quality teams. 
- Participate in Agile Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives. 
- Perform other duties as assigned. 
   
   
Qualifications:
 - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline required. 
- Must be eligible to obtain a U.S. security clearance (Non-U.S. citizens may not be eligible). 
- 1–4 years of experience in embedded software development or a related field. 
- Proficiency with programming languages and tools such as Java, C, C++, C, Python, Git, GitLab, Bitbucket, and Qt. 
- Experience with mixed operating systems including VxWorks, Linux, RTOS, GVOS, BSPs, and virtualization platforms. 
- Familiarity with network and serial communication protocols (RS-232/422, CAN, TCP/IP, UDP/IP). 
- Experience with middleware technologies such as DDS, Kafka, and other publish/subscribe architectures. 
- Understanding of vehicle network architectures and standards such as GCIA, MOSA, SOSA, and FACE. 
- Hands-on experience with Agile software development methodologies and tools. 
- Desired Qualifications: -    - Previous experience in the defense industry. 
- Familiarity with Type 1/2 hypervisors and container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes). 
- Understanding of IoT frameworks and applications. 
- Experience using Cameo Systems Modeler. 
- Knowledge of Time Sensitive Networking (TSN) and NATO/UK Ground Vehicle Architectures (NGVA, UKGVA). 
- Experience with multicast networking and transmission protocols (UDP, TCP). 
- Must meet Anthropometric Size Requirements (ASR) for confined space access and be able to work on and around military vehicles. 
- Willingness to travel up to 10 as required. 
- Ability to work occasional evening or weekend overtime as needed.
